Staff -- Gifts & Decorative Accessories, 9/1/2002

Home decor wholesaler CBK Ltd. named Austin W. Bunch to the newly created position of vice president. Over the past few years, Bunch consulted for several garden, gift, and home decor manufacturers, including CBK.

Russ Berrie and Co. named Michael Lyon vice president of product marketing. Prior to joining Russ, Lyon was director of consumer promotion, package design, and graphics at Best Foods/CPC.

United Design Corp. appointed Don Batson vice president of merchandising. Most recently, Batson served as director of product development for Enesco.

Trade show producer George Little Management promoted Dorothy Belshaw to senior vice president. Belshaw will oversee day-to-day operations in the company's Los Angeles office, and will act as the direct liaison with DMG World Media and the California Market Center.

Former Precious Moments licensing director Maureen E. Ryan joined Reiman Publications, Greendale, WI, as director of licensing and branding. Reiman was purchased by Reader's Digest earlier this year.

Blyth Inc. appointed Frank Mineo senior vice president. Mineo is president of PartyLite Worldwide, the largest division of Blyth's Candles & Home Fragrance segment.

The Boyds Collection appointed Joseph Macharsky chief financial officer and Linda Colson vice president of sales. Macharsky spent 14 years at HMSHost Corp.; Colson joined Boyds from Ty Inc.

Syratech Corp. named Theresa Strickland vice president of product development. Strickland was previously senior vice president and merchandise manager for Pottery Barn.

David Wise joined giftware and stationery manufacturer The Lang Companies, Delafield, WI, as chief financial and administrative officer.
