New Direction Set For Tendence

Frankfurt— In an effort to differentiate its fall consumer goods trade show (Tendence) from its winter show (Ambiente), Messe Frankfurt will refocus Tendence and rename it Tendence Lifestyle in time for the September 2003 show. The new focus will divide the show into four segments based on consumer lifestyle themes identified by Messe Frankfurt: "Modern Living" will feature contemporary and future-oriented products; "Emotion" will draw from classic designs across all product groups; "Joy" will include colorful, ornate, and handmade pieces; and "Function" will exhibit tabletop and cookware merchandise. Exhibitors will be organized according to theme rather than product to help simplify the trade show shopping experience. Ambiente's divisions, based on products, will remain. More than 100,000 visitors attended the Tendence 2002 show.
