Angelica Berrie Takes Helm

Oakland, NJ — The board of directors of Russ Berrie and Co. Inc. appointed Angelica Berrie to succeed her husband, Russ Berrie, as chief executive officer. Angelica Berrie has been with the company for 11 years, most recently as vice president of strategic planning. She has also been a member of the company's board of directors for five years. Prior to her years at RUSS, Angelica Berrie, 47, worked on international product development as one of the company's overseas vendors. She has a degree in communication arts and also worked in advertising at Saatchi & Saatchi. "I look forward to working closely with … all members of the RUSS family as we continue to move the company forward by building on our key business strengths — our diverse product line, global sourcing opportunities, worldwide sales force, and strong customer relationships," said Berrie.
