Staff -- Gifts & Decorative Accessories, 4/1/2003

New York — Gift for Life (GFL) celebrates its 11th anniversary on Monday, May 19, at the new Copacabana club, conveniently located across the street from the Javits Convention Center. Attendees will be able to saunter over to the club for food, drink, music, and a host of other activities immediately following the close of day at the National Stationery Show. Designer Kenneth Cole will be the guest speaker at this year's event when GFL honors Charles Kennedy, founder of the Kennedy Group, with its Outstanding Industry Contribution award. The first Bert Tonkin Gift of Giving award goes to Seattle rep Diana Park of Park Avenue Agents, and the first Founder's Award will be presented to Alan and Cathy Steel for their fundraising New York Marathon run last November. All funds raised at the anniversary party will benefit amfAR. Tickets are $100 each; call Elisha Silvera at (212) 806-1745.
