Housewares Added to Gift Show

New York — The New York permanent showroom buildings — 225 Fifth Ave., 230 Fifth Ave., and 41 Madison Ave. — will expand their 2004 winter gift show to include housewares. The announcement follows the decision by George Little Management to add tabletop and housewares divisions to its gift shows in Atlanta, Los Angeles, and New York beginning in 2004. "I canvassed a number of showrooms and received many favorable responses," said Su Hilty, vice president of marketing for 225 Fifth Ave. "The decision to create a new market focus seems timely." Carole Dixon, senior vice president director of 41 Madison, explained, "For a number of our tableware manufacturers, their housewares division is expanding, and for other tenants this is their primary business."
