Clarks Buy Back Their Collection

New York — Nelson and Beverly Clark repurchased wedding accessories manufacturer the Beverly Clark Collection from Maplewood LF Investors LLC of Waukegan, IL. The couple had maintained a minority interest in the Collection, and sat on the advisory board of Maplewood after selling it to the investment group in 2000. At that time, the headquarters and production facilities of the Beverly Clark Collection were moved from California to Illinois, and Gail Frigo was named president. The Clarks, who live in California, said that operations would remain in Illinois, where they have been "running smoothly," according to Nelson. Their goal is to resume a more active role in managing the Beverly Clark Collection. The announcement of the repurchase was made during last month's National Stationery Show in New York.
