By Staff -- Gifts & Decorative Accessories, 7/1/2003

Beth Featherman and her son Tad, the design team behind the Hen-Feathers collection, Gladwyne, PA, signed a licensing agreement with United Design of Noble, OK, to manufacture and distribute selected categories from the Hen-Feathers line. United will introduce 150 SKUs of product such as oil lamps, garden accents, wine coolers, and entertaining accessories at the summer gift markets. Some 120 new products will be added to the line for a January 2004 introduction. "United Design is a wonderful company with great distribution," said Tad Featherman. "Management truly appreciates quality and innovation … and is open to new ideas. Because they are so design oriented, we think it is a very good match." The Feathermans also signed a licensing agreement with Corimex USA, a manufacturer of wooden outdoor furniture. Corimex will produce tables, chairs, and benches for the Hen-Feathers collection.
