Watchmaker to Expand in Gifts

New York — MZ Berger (MZB), manufacturer and distributor of timepieces with brand names such as Gruen, Elgin, Waltham, and Benrus, will develop a new division, MZB Accessories and Gifts. MZB appointed Rosemary Sharp as president of the division. Sharp spent 11 years at the Colibri Group, most recently as president of the clock and gift division. Before that, she was with Linden, and Burnes of Boston. MZB also licenses brands such as NASCAR, Care Bears, Disney, and Coca-Cola for its timepieces, and plans to utilize the licenses in developing its accessories and gift lines. Bernie Mermelstein is chief executive of MZB.
