Enesco to Open Chicago Showroom

Chicago — Merchandise Mart Properties Inc. signed a multi-year agreement with Enesco Group Inc. to occupy a 4,874-square-foot showroom in the Merchandise Mart. Enesco will debut the showroom at the January 2004 Chicago Gift & Home Market. It has been 40 years since Enesco had a showroom presence at the Mart; the company has long maintained a showroom at its corporate facility in Itasca, just outside Chicago. "As an influencer and innovator in the gift industry, it is very important for Enesco to be visible in high-traffic venues where customers look for their merchandise," said chief executive Dan DalleMolle. The Enesco showroom will be located on the 13th floor, site of a 60,000-square-foot gift department expansion at the Mart, which will include 40 other showrooms.
