Cheri Blum, 34
Georgetown, MD — Cheri Blum, whose floral and nature motifs adorn a range of giftware, passed away suddenly on November 4 at her home. The cause of her death was not released. Blum began her career as an illustrator and muralist, creating trompe l'oeil, faux painting, and decorative furniture finishes. She is survived by her parents, three brothers, a sister-in-law, two nephews, and a niece.
Donald Jack Polland, 71
Prescott, AZ — Artist Donald Jack Polland died November 2. Born in Los Angeles, Polland began working with miniature bronze sculptures in 1969, producing works for The Franklin Mint, American Express, Lance/Chilmark, and others. His awards include the 1997 International Collectible Artist of the Year Award. Polland is survived by wife Charolette; daughter Dawnette; sons Tony, Rick, and Daryl; their spouses and 12 grandchildren.
