Midwest completed renovation of its Seasons of Cannon Falls River House, an 1868 Italianate-style home in Cannon Falls, MN, that the company purchased in 2002. The vacant, dilapidated building, which had served as a home, hotel, hat shop, and apartment complex during its 130-year history, was moved one mile to Midwest's corporate headquarters before restoration began. "River House was designed for our customers to experience the warmth of our Seasons of Cannon Falls brand and products," said Jeff Wilson, Midwest's vice president of creative and marketing. The renovated, 2,200 square-foot, ten-room house features a range of styles, including casual and country in the upstairs bedrooms and kitchen, and mixes of rustic, casual, and refined styles in the parlor, dining room, and family room. River House will be redecorated at the turn of each season. It will be featured in the 2004 Seasons of Cannon Falls catalog, on the pages of consumer publications such as Romantic Homes, and in a coffee table book in 2005. "River House … will raise brand awareness and help drive consumer traffic to retail shops," said Wilson.
