Home Textiles Retailer Awards

White Plains, NY — The New York Home Textiles Show and the Home Fashion Products Association announced the winners of the 19th annual Retailer of the Year Awards, and named their Lifetime Achievement Award honoree. The 2004 winners are: Army Air Force Exchange Service, Dallas (International Service Award); Family Dollar, Charlotte,
NC (Neighborhood Discounter); JC Penney Direct, Plano, TX (Consumer Direct); The Linen Store and Home Decor, Delray Beach, FL (Specialty Boutique); and Tuesday Morning, Dallas (Value Department Store). The Lifetime Achievement Award goes to George Greenberg, president, Pioneer Linens in West Palm Beach, FL. The awards will be presented at a gala dinner on Sunday, March 28, during the spring New York Home Textiles Market Week. "Retail excellence is a vital asset to the home textiles business, and has a significant impact upon the success of our industry," said GLM v.p. and awards program co-chair Penny Sikalis.
