RHS Steps Up Licensing

Fullerton, CA — The Red Hat Society (RHS) signed licensing agreements with 17 gift, apparel, and home vendors, including Boyds Bears, Christopher Radko, and Flowers Inc. Balloons to sell product bearing the Red Hat Society name and logo. According to the Society's p.r. director, Cathy Risling, RHS will also work to avoid confusion in the marketplace with the profusion of "red hat" products by contacting non-licensed manufacturers that it feels are infringing on the copyrighted RHS name. Risling said the RHS will also have a greater presence at the summer gift shows, supporting its licensees.
