Giftware and coordinated stationery resource Lady Jayne Ltd., Cypress, CA, appointed Dawn McCormack to the position of president. McCormack will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the 16-year-old company's growth.
George Little Management, White Plains, NY, named Brenda Harrison group manager for its Western Canadian Gift Show Group. She will be responsible for management, financial control, and administration for both the Alberta Gift Show and the Vancouver Gift Show.
Decorative accessories resource Global Views will open its first corporate showroom in the Dallas Market Center in time for the June International Gift and Home Accessories Market. The company has taken a 3,500-square-foot space on the sixth floor of the World Trade Center (#608).
Royal Doulton, Stoke-on-Trent, England, will close its remaining older U.K. factory, located on Nile Street, by mid 2005. At the same time, the bone china resource will build a new factory adjacent to its headquarters to produce certain prestige giftware, collectibles, and personalized dinnerware.
The Devon Publishing Group, Novato, CA, appointed Helen Bulwik chief executive, to assume responsibility for directing each DPG division, including Portal Publications, Winn Devon, and Canadian Art Prints.
Paper producer MeadWestvaco, Dayton, OH, entered a partnership with Mary Engelbreit Studios, St. Louis, to manufacture and market a range of stationery and domestic products featuring Engelbreit artwork.
The Dallas Market Center appointed Jane Robertson to a full time role as senior vice president of communications. Robertson will oversee all advertising, public relations, and exhibitor communications. Lori Eddleman, s.v.p. of marketing, will continue to oversee all retail development efforts, as well as special events and buyer database departments.
The San Francisco Giftcenter & Jewelrymart appointed Sheila McDonald director of leasing. Previously, McDonald was showroom manager for Sterling Lines, a rep company. The Giftcenter also re-established its buyer services program and appointed William Johnson to head up the program.
