New York — Four generations of the Sadek family were at the Copacabana club in New York on Monday, May 17, as company founder Norman Sadek was presented with Gift for Life's Chuck Yancy Lifetime Achievement Award during the organization's 12th annual fundraising gala. Also on hand was the extended family of artist Warren Kimble, who received the Award for Outstanding Industry Contribution. Kimble also donated an original artwork, "Renewal of Spring," for the evening's live auction. Recipients of the Bert Tonkin Gift of Giving Award included Mike Dean of Western Exhibitors and Larry Rotondi, publisher of Gifts & Decoratvie Accessories. More than 600 guests cheered the award winners, ate, drank, danced, and networked. The event raised $195,000 from ticket and raffle sales, live and silent auctions, and generous corporate and individual donations. Gift for Life, the gift and home industries' volunteer organization, raises funds for the American Foundation for AIDS Research (amfAR).
