Diane A. Maicon -- Gifts & Decorative Accessories, 10/1/2000

Whether you're going for upscale country, the lodge look, holiday, or just plain warm and friendly, Bouquet Ents., Atlanta Gift Mart (AGM), space 1401, may have just what you're looking for. From primitive wood signs to rusted tin home decor to door stops and candles.you name it, it's there. The Harvest and Halloween lines were reintroduced by popular demand and feature pieces crafted in crackled and rusted tin for seasonal decorating. A new line of painted canvas coordinates with other items to complete the offering. The company also features nautical- and garden-themed gifts and dolls, including Santas, snowmen, angels, bunnies, and bears. If that's not enough, consider Annie B's caramels, retailing for 35 cents or three for a $1.

In The Gardens, Atlanta Merchandise Mart (AMM), 15-A-100, you'll find Lazy Hill Farm Designs-and you don't have to wait until market to check out their wares since The Gardens are open between markets. Unique is the word when it comes to Lazy Hill Farm bird feeders and houses, with accents made of shiny copper, cedar shake, antiqued aluminum, and verdigris copper, there are designs for every garden style. Fans of the traditional will enjoy the English-influenced, signature Lazy Hill feeder and birdhouses. You'll get turn-of-the-century style with the Devonshire feeder, and Asian styles with the Pagoda Martin House, the Moongate Feeder, and the Dojo feeder. The whimsically minded will appreciate the Harlequin House with its finial of one large glass ball, flanked by three smaller glass orbs that dance in the wind. There's even a design for tropical gardens. The line extends from feeders and houses to nesting boxes, butterfly houses, bee boxes, garden stakes, plant stands, garden sculptures, fence toppers, benches, tables, and chairs.

Located in a temporary space during the July gift market, MCD Publishing offers a sentimental keepsake for the Christmas season-a how-to scrapbook entitled "Merry Christmas Daddy." For those who struggle with the dilemma of "what to get Daddy," this book will fit the bill. The book includes sample pages, a gift inscription page and 30 additional memoir pages to record family memories for posterity's sake. A recommended retail selling price of $39.95 makes this a truly special gift, and it only requires two to three hours of time according to the company's materials. It is available in either Holly Green or Santa Claus Red.
