HNS, AEI Streamline Music Service

Germantown, MD-Hughes Network Systems (HNS) and AEI Music Network Inc., of Seattle, announced an agreement to jointly market music and messaging services worldwide. The new venture, DirecWay Music Services, will offer customizable services that are delivered directly to the customer's store or restaurant. DirecWay will be available along with other services and applications via HNS' global broadband content delivery platform. According to HNS vice president, Bahram Pourmand, DirecWay is the first in a series of content-based applications to be delivered over the new platform, on which HNS can multicast or stream virtually any digital file directly to end-user locations. HNS is a global provider of broadband communications. AEI provides targeted music and imaging content for business.
