IFDA Silent Auction to Benefit Homeless

New York-The International Furnishings and Design Association (IFDA) will hold a silent auction to benefit Furnish a Future at its annual holiday gala at WestPoint Stevens, 1185 Avenue of the Americas, on December 5. Furnish a Future, a program of the Partnership for the Homeless, has provided furnishings for more than 17,000 families and individuals who have relocated from shelters to permanent housing. Brooke Astor is Furnish a Future's honorary chairman. The IFDA New York chapter holiday gala is open to members as well as nonmembers. Tickets for the gala are $35 in advance or $40 at the door. The silent auction will include donations with a retail value of at least $400, to as high as $10,000 for a stay at a chateau in Burgundy, France, courtesy of Felissimo (Universal Corporation of America). Other contributors include Grange Furniture, Ethan Allen, Simon's Hardware and Bath, Delta Faucet Company, WestPoint Stevens, Condé Nast, Hachette Filipacchi, and Hearst.
