Dallas Hosts 12th Annual ARTS Awards

The 12th annual ARTS Awards gala will be held January 13, 2001, at the Dallas Super Market. More than 1,000 guests are expected to attend the event, which honors retailers, manufacturers, sales representatives, and product designers for outstanding achievement in the decorative accessories industry. The Awards are presented by the Dallas Market Center and the Accessories Resource Team. Gifts & Dec is a co-sponsor. The 2001 judges are Carol Gatto of Woman's Day Special Interest Publications; retail and manufacturing consultant Caroline Hipple; T. Walton Shaw, senior designer, Bush Industries; Bruce Robinson, president, Robinson Lighting Ltd.; and Michelle Lamb, president and owner of Marketing Directions, and editor of The Trend Curve. The finalists were chosen through nationwide balloting and Internet voting. Each finalist will submit a portfolio detailing their company's history, marketing and merchandising philosophies, and business practices.
