Lunéville Collects Top Prize at Maison & Objet
Staff -- Gifts & Decorative Accessories, 10/1/2000
Lunéville, French manufacturer of faience dinnerware, was awarded first prize for best overall collection at Maison & Objet, the giftware and tabletop show in Paris, France, last month. The winning collection was designed by Pierre Casenove, the company's new design director, who trained at the Beaux Arts and Art Decoratif schools in Paris. In addition to serving as design director for Lunéville, Casenove is an accomplished fine artist, whose paintings are shown in galleries throughout Europe. According to a statement by Jean Paul Blachere of the Blachere Group, exclusive U.S. representative for Lunéville, there was much interest among American buyers at the show, who were already vying for exclusives. The entire collection, which represents Casenove's debut for Lunéville, will be on display at the Blachere showroom in 41 Madison Avenue during the New York Fall Tabletop Market, October 28-November 2.
