  • After ten years of going it alone, the Ulster Linen Company, Islip, NY, and Ulster Weavers Giftware

    joined forces again as Ulster Linen becomes the exclusive distributor of Ulster Weavers. Both companies have their roots in the 150-year-old Ulster Weaving Co. Ltd. of Northern Ireland.

  • KJS Canada Inc.

    acquired the operations of OPICE Inc.

    and International Candle Enterprises Inc., Port Perry, ON. KJS also owns Style and Paper Inc., a Montreal-based supplier of fine stationery and gift items. KJS will set up a new company, Style & Candles Enterprises Inc., to promote ICE brand candles.

  • The Department of Commerce recalculated the anti-dumping duty on Chinese petroleum-based candles from 95.95 percent to 108.3 percent, according to the National Candle Association.

    to national and key account executive. A Figi employee since 2000, Blackmon will service national and key accounts on the West Coast.

  • The Boyds Collection, Gettysburg, PA, elected ten board members at its annual shareholders' meeting. Three new directors are Ed Artzt, retired CEO of Procter & Gamble; and Brian F. Carroll

    and Simon E. Brown, investment bankers with Kohlberg Kravis Roberts (KKR), the company's largest shareholder.
