Vera Bradley Classic Nets $500,000

Fort Wayne, IN — The annual golf and tennis charity fundraising event held by Vera Bradley Designs raised a record $540,543 this year. The Vera Bradley Classic, which raises money for the fight against breast cancer, began in 1994. "We are happy to see that support for [breast cancer] research continues to be so strong," said Patricia Miller, Vera Bradley co-founder. The Vera Bradley Foundation recently completed a five-year pledge of $1.2 million to endow a chair in oncology at the Indiana University School of Medicine.
