Boyds Collection to Open Fourth Retail Outlet

The Boyds Collection Ltd., Gettysburg, PA, will open a fourth Boyds Bear Country Store in Branson, MO, in 2005. The first Country Store, a 100,000-square-foot emporium, opened in Gettysburg in 2002; another will open in Pigeon Forge, TN, next December; and the third will debut in Myrtle Beach, SC, in summer 2005. The Branson outlet will be located on Highway 76 ("Country Music Boulevard") next to Dixie Stampede, and is slated to open in the fourth quarter of 2005. Boyds previously announced that it plans to open two stores each year in high-traffic, tourist destinations, beginning in 2005. Branson is located in the Ozark Mountains and attracts eight million visitors a year.
