Enesco Acquires Dartington Crystal

Itasca, IL — Enesco Group Inc. through its United Kingdom subsidiary, Enesco Limited, acquired Dartington Crystal of Torrington, England. Enesco paid $7 million (U.S.) in cash for the manufacturer of uncut crystal. According to Enesco, market trends in the U.K. are moving toward contemporary formats and away from the traditional patterned crystal designs, creating a growth opportunity for the company and an entry point into the uncut crystal markets in the U.K., Europe, and the United States.
