Gifts & Dec Names New Publishing Director

Lawrence Oliver, vice president/group publisher of the New York Retail Group at Reed Business Information, appointed Kristine Carlson to the position of publishing director of Gifts & Decorative Accessories magazine. Most recently, Carlson was with the Condé Nast consumer publication Allure. Carlson also served as national sales manager of consumer advertising for Varietymagazine and VLife, Reed Business publications. Her new responsibilities include managing Gifts & Decorative Accessories with an emphasis on new business development and the introduction of new online initiatives.
