Playmates to Produce Jackie Chan Toys

Los Angeles-Playmates Toys and Sony Pictures Consumer Products (SPCP) signed a licensing agreement for toys based on Sony Pictures Family Entertainment's new animated television series,Jackie Chan Adventures. The toy line will include action figures, playsets, plush toys, and electronic role-playing accessories featuring the Hong Kong-born martial artist and star of such films asRumble in the Bronx,Rush Hour, andSuper Cop. The Playmates line, targeted to boys ages 3-11, will be in stores in the spring of 2001. Playmates Toys produces toys, electronics, and licensed properties. SPCP, a division of Sony Pictures Entertainment, handles merchandising and branding for film and television properties.
