Dorothy Weaver -- Gifts & Decorative Accessories, 1/1/2001

Blue Ridge Designs moved to a larger showroom, 420 World Trade Center (WTC), to display its lines in greater depth. The firm offers more than 2,000 items. Categories include decorative accessories, lamps, trunks, fountains, birdhouses, figurines, and toleware. The recently introduced Lodge Collection features an array of rustic, quality-crafted furniture and accessories. The Christmas Fantasy kinetics line joyfully greets passersby in jingling harmony. The company's 2539 Dallas Trade Mart (DTM) space will be maintained. Kim Miller is showroom manager.

DaySpring Cards, 2836 DTM, features 2000 themed cards, inspirational stickers, giftwrap, gift bags, journals, stationery, and notes. Promise boxes, The Master Peace, and I Heard My Father Say gift collections reflect the encouraging messages and guidance provided by the Supreme Being.

Color highlights Lanyap Ents., 312 WTC. Dee Jay's Candles by Diana glow with 150 festive scents in pillars and votives. Triple-layered votives provide a combination of scented confections. Originality distinguishes Gina's Designs' hand-painted metal creations in wall art, garden art, frames, and savvy fashion jewelry. KGH's unique hand-painted paper-over-wood frames immortalize images and are exceptionally well priced. Annabelle Bearden's bath and body line pampers and nurtures with refreshing scents such as rain and melon garden. Quality Art employs animal prints and fashion fabrics on journals, memory books, frames, and candle accessories. Soul's Trading everyday, resort, and beach-oriented accessories in raffia, clutch purses, and nested totes are glam go-togethers.

A joy to own and see-and also to ride-the Bamboo Bike Co.'s line at Doris Sanders Ltd., 8737 DTM, gains momentum. Beautifully crafted bicycles and tricycles are hand-wrapped with rattan. It's a great look for store display and volume sales.

Dale Tiffany's bronze female figure lamps with billowing Tiffany art glass skirts illuminate the firm's 309-1 WTC space, and are also displayed at PMR, 1135 DTM. Also at PMR, the Figments mat line will floor you. Animal imagery and inscriptions such as "Welcome and leave your worries at the door" brighten the atmosphere.

New lines at Omni Sales, 333 WTC, evoke thoughts of blue sky, sun, and a natural milieu. An oasis of garden accessories has been crafted to withstand the elements for years. Water Wonders copper and slate fountains create decorative cascades with table, wall, and floor models. E. Zarro verdigris, brass, glass, and metal accessories and crosses add splendor indoors or out. Brass Baron's waterfall ponds and piped brass sculptures create a serene environment. Music of the Spheres glass hummingbird feeders and iron and glass birdbaths host and serenade birds. Mailable Bloomin' Flower Cards (seeds are embedded in the paper) honor special occasions. Performance Dynamics specially insulated neck accessory is the Aussie's prescription for enduring temperatures "down under."

Fat Chance Ents. glassware charms are new at The McLendon Co., 1200 DTM. The line precludes picking up someone else's libation at soirees. Boxed in a set of six, the individual beaded charm hoops of antique gold-finished pewter come in sports, birthday, wedding, beach, western and Christmas themes. They retail for $19.95/box.

It's been said that "housework makes you ugly"-but one can feel beautifully oriented with Caldera's aromatherapy home care, at Patrick & Co., 2927 DTM. The line of cleaning essentials and furniture creams comes in three fragrances and creates a polished, shiny abode.
