IFDAEF Gives Awards

Washington, DC -The International Furnishings and Design Association Educational Foundation (IFDAEF) awarded scholarships and grants worth $13,600 to eight people and two institutions.
- Rebecca Goodman received $1,100.
- Tirso Sibb was awarded $1,000.
- Dawn Michelle Turnberg won the $1,500 Vercille Voss Scholarship.
- The $1,000 Charles D. Mayo Student Scholarship was won by Brett Fischer.
- Simone Bailey received $1,000.
- Katerina Djihovic received $1,000.
- Joan Long won the $1,500 Tony Torrice Professional Development Grant.
- The first recipient of the Ina Mae Kaplan Historic Preservation Grant, in the amount of $1,500, was the Sewell-Belmont House, on Capitol Hill.
- IFDAEF gave $1,500 to the Eleanor Roosevelt Val-Kill Cottage Preservation Project of New Hyde Park, NY.
- The winner of the $2,500 Universal Design Grant will be announced later in the year.
