If she were invited, there is a certain bear who would like to visit your store-Muffy VanderBear. North American Bear and Chronicle Books have created a kit for retailers to host in-store Muffy VanderBear events at any time of the year. The kit provides ideas and details on how to host a number of different events, including a "Dress-Up" to benefit a local charity, a "Bring Your Teddy to Tea" party, a "Create a Family Tree" event, and an "Author-for- a-Day" event. The kit also includes recipes for cookies and punch and a list of ways to promote your event.
If you choose to host a "Beary Fun Day," you will be provided with a Muffy costume and a Polaroid Popshots instant camera to take pictures of the kids visiting with Muffy. Every store that schedules a Muffy-themed event will receive a Muffy doll to raffle off or give away as a prize.
