New York

Bessie Nestoras -- Gifts & Decorative Accessories, 1/1/2001

The tabletop industry got a short lesson in how to set a table and how to entertain during the New York Tabletop Market last October. Edward Lent, an expert on table settings, gave a short presentation on something we all thought was a piece of cake-dining and entertaining. He demonstrated how to use gold and platinum on your table, and how each can change the mood of the table-gold being warmer and platinum cooler. The presentation was fun and lively, as well as informative. Lent explained how to use different accent pieces and textures to enhance the look of the table display (as well as some helpful hints on how to move your guests along!). Dining 2000 was hosted by Design Times, Brunschwig & Fils, and the National Tabletop and Giftware Assn. It was held at the Brunschwig & Fils showroom in the Decorating & Design Building in New York City.
