GLM Presents Award

Staff -- Gifts & Decorative Accessories, 1/1/2001

The third annual George Little Management Inc. (GLM) International Marketing Award was presented to Colette Gilmartin during the British Crafts Council's (BCC) Chelsea Crafts Fair in London, England. The award recognizes the Chelsea Crafts exhibitor whose body of work is judged to be most appropriate for export, and is likely to have the greatest potential for success in the international marketplace. Gilmartin, who won for her line of fashion textiles accessories, received £1,000 (about $1,600) and an opportunity to have her work exhibited in the BCC's government-sponsored pavilion in the Handmade division of the New York International Gift Fair, January 20-25. Entries were judged by a panel of specialists including Anne Beddow, Tony Ford, Corinne Julius, and Carol Sedestrom-Ross. The BCC promotes contemporary crafts of Great Britain at home and abroad.

George Little Mgmt., 10 Bank St. White Plains, NY 10606; (914) 421-3200.
