The United Association Manufacturers' Representatives (UAMR), Dana Point, CA, celebrates its 40th anniversary this year. It was established by gift and housewares sales rep Keith Kittrell in 1965. UAMR will celebrate the milestone at the Atlanta and Los Angeles gift shows.

The Brooklyn-based, not-for-profit organization Coney Island USA, charged with preserving the spirit of the famed amusement park, will license the name and imagery for gifts, stationery, collectibles, and other products.

Susquehanna Pfaltzgraff, York, PA, is exploring the possible sale of its Pfaltzgraff tabletop division.

NALED will honor Eugene Freedman, founder and former chief executive of Enesco Group, at its annual Achievement Awards Banquet in Chicago July 22, during the Chicago & Home Market. The event takes place in the grand ballroom of the Hilton Hotel. Tickets are $100; call (770) 537-1970 for reservations.

Home decor and accessories manufacturer 18 Karat will debut a new showroom at the L.A. Mart during the July Gift & Home Furnishings Market. The showroom will be located on the Mart's 8th floor.

Enesco Group Inc., Itasca, IL, appointed Koreen Ryan general counsel and secretary. Ryan comes from McDonald's Corp.

Licensing agent Courtney Davis Inc., San Francisco, appointed Sam Abell vice president for new business development. The agency also signed Atlanta-based stationery designer Anna Griffin.

Sales rep Dorry Wallof was named executive vice president for North America of German glass company Inge-Glas, which is represented in AmericasMart Atlanta by Wallof Unlimited.

Home decor vendor American Retold moved its headquarters from the Catskill Mountains to Hudson, New York. The company also hired Ines Rode as chief operating officer and Heather Beckel Guntert as v.p. of sales and marketing.
