If you're looking to get in on the natural medium craze, stop by Asian Craft's showroom in suite 1133 at 225 Fifth Avenue. There are baskets and accessories, as well as furniture made from willow, wood, and metal.
Vann Lindsay & Associates added three new lines to its New York showroom, suite 1118/20 at 225 Fifth Avenue. Among them is Kirk's Folly, a collection of frames and accessories. Felt Glass is a line of decorative glassware in unique shapes that are inspired by nature. And Simplydesignz introduced three new collections for spring 2001. The Agra collection is made up of floral and candle accessories handmade in Agra, India, the city of the Taj Mahal. The Tibet Snow collection includes hurricanes and lanterns. Serving trays and vases are part of the Aluminum collection.
Check out the new spring lines at Arte Italica, suite 1225, 225 Fifth Avenue. Fiori is a new pattern featuring hand-painted flowers against a cheery pink hue. The ceramicware is made with pressed paper to create the little crevices in the pieces. There is also matching mouth-blown glassware in pink with a sterling silver overlay. Tulipani is new for spring 2001. The place setting features a tulip hand-painted on a parchment-colored base.
Summer is in the air at the Mesa International showroom, suite 704, 225 Fifth Avenue. Dragonflies, bees, and beetles grace dessert plates, serving bowls, pitchers, and chip 'n 'dips. The patterns are all done in bright blues, greens, and yellows, as well as pastels.
Don't forget the kids when doing your shopping. Harry Potter tumbler sets, featuring the Gryffindor and Slytherin House crests, are acrylic and accented with gold glitter. Also new is the Hogwarts mystical cup featuring the Hogwarts' school crest. They are all at Seland, suite 514 at 225 Fifth Avenue.
New Zeolla Inc., suite 321 at 225 Fifth Avenue, is Aromawax, a line of vegetable wax candles that are paraffin-free. There are a bevy of shapes from tiny travel candles to large obelisks. Continuum Home by Patti Carpenter is also new to the showroom. The black-and-white dinnerware features pieces in an African American motif.
Crystal Clear introduced a bevy of new products at its New York showroom, 220 Fifth Avenue. American Atelier At Home debuted more than 17 collections, and expanded some of its existing lines. Among the new collections: Northern Nights, a stoneware pattern set in "lodge" colors; San Marco, a glazed stoneware inspired by French tiles; and added to the Pompeii Fruit line are three-dimensional, embossed ceramic accessory pieces. Design Guild, a manufacturer and importer of fine decorative accessories and lighting, introduced new lines, including The Kings Court and Regency Collections, which are made up of 24 percent lead crystal gifts; mouth-blown glassware from the Malibu Collection; and mouth-blown glassware in geometric designs from the Blanc/Noir Collection.
Ten new showrooms recently opened at 230 Fifth Avenue: Barnes and Noble Inc., suite 700; Beacon Home Products, suite 1700; Cadillac Curtain Corp., suite 703; Crystal Art Gallery, suite 1405; Edgar Fabrics Inc., suite 1400; Patton Picture Framing, suite 1515; Regal Jewelry, suite 1110; Scala Intl., Lobby 456; Sigma Import Inc., suite 1509; and Stabur Fabrics, suite 713. HIS Sales moved to suite 1007 and Big Apple Ents. is now located in suite 1600A.
