Dorothy Weaver -- Gifts & Decorative Accessories, 2/1/2001

Division Three Inc., 451 World Trade Center (WTC), was named representative for three new lines. Center Street, a gathering of gifts, candleholders, porcelain jars, plush, Snow Buddies, resin pins, snow globes, and ornaments, ensures a merrier Christmas. Ridgewood Marketing Collectibles introduced "Henry," a hand-painted cold-cast porcelain snowman sporting school colors on his scarf and cap; custom collegiate designs are available. The LaidBack line of T-shirts, hats, caps, mugs, and more, amuses with humorous inscriptions such as "Genuine Antique Person," and "Been There, Done That, Can't Remember." The Sun Belt line also features new introductions.

At Mark IV Sales Inc., 2012 Dallas Trade Mart (DTM), Staffordshire Enamels' Queen Mother Centenary Collection courts attention. Two new limited-edition solid brass carriage clocks commemorate the 100th birthday of HM Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother. One clock face depicts her London home, Clarence House, surrounded by Elizabeth of Glamis roses and her coronation crown. The side panels of the quartz clock depict Glamis Castle and the Castle of Mey with Glamis and Queen Mother roses. Glamis is The Queen Mother's birthplace, and the setting of Shakespeare's Macbeth. The Castle of Mey in northeast Scotland is her holiday home.

At Ganz Inc., a 50-year industry pioneer located in 439 WTC, Art candles "fragrance of the month" embrace the seasons and natural celebrations. Candles in 4.3-oz., 15-oz., and 23-oz. jars, 15-hour votives, and tea lights delightfully please the senses. The "Just Ducky" series in duck likenesses includes a footed mug, an egg cup, vase, and cozies that brighten a new day.

At Portice Inc., 576 WTC, a triumphant harvest of nature flourishes with preserved naturals in the Hedges line. Topiaries, wreaths, bouquets, swags, nests, textured obelisks, birch baskets, cone trees, and more take the garden look year-round. Earth Elements enduring naturals include fruits, scented sticks, stones, leaves, room mists, fragrant oils, silk sachets, candles in glass votives, pomanders, and other fragrance keepers derived from nature's glory and scents.

The next generation of candles, The Gemstone Collection, furnishes fire and light at Perdue & Associates, 1230 DTM. The oil-based patented gel candle with a cotton wick is manufactured by Diane Laws, whose physicist husband developed the incredible creation. The frosted shape creates a spectacular display of brilliant color. Pleasantly scented with a garden floral fragrance, the candle burns clean, sans smoke, soot, or harmful vapors. The flame burns down the center, sustaining its reflective properties. It is packaged in a transparent container that shows off the beautiful colors: ruby, emerald, rose quartz, amethyst, sapphire, and diamond. $17.95 retail each.

The Jim Robinson Co., 8575 WTC, spotlights savvy arrivals with the pulse of today. Accessories Plus python and cheetah cosmetic bags and travel accessories are in sync with the fashion-oriented. Zadro Products "Surround Lite" features a 7-9 magnification power for producing a faultless mystical image.

The Faux French Collection of Paris, TX, recently joined The Hemisphere Design Gallery, 9009 WTC. The hand-painted furniture and decorative accessories line employs 18th and 19th century designs in Les Styles Français, encompassing Louis XV, Louis XVI, and Empire periods.
