Mesa International is now located at the Gus Dallas showroom, 839 of the L.A. Mart (LAM). The Mesa line consists of stylish iron, glass, tabletop, accessories, and garden items that are handcrafted or hand-painted by artisans around the world. This diverse product line retails from $8 to $225. Trillium introduced eye-catching new collections of tablecloths, napkins, and placemats in primary solids, jacquards, plaids, holiday, chenille, and cotton rag styles. There are also new rugs, lap throws, napkin rings, dish towels, pillows, and beaded placemats and cocktail coasters. The line retails from $2 to $36.
At Homage, LAM 541, Saxby of Stockholm is a highly distinctive line of albums, address books, and journals made of all-natural products like banana leaves, cinnamon sticks, lily pads, pineapple leaves, bamboo, and dried flowers, with prices ranging from $15 to $60 retail. Saxby donates 5 percent of profits to the World Wildlife Fund. San Francisco Lampworks is a distinctive new line of standing, hanging, and table lamps with shades made of makubia paper and unusual fabrics; prices are from $160 to $300 retail.
J. Rouse Sales, LAM 850, introduces the Homestead Herbs upscale aromatherapy bath and spa line that includes Herbal Intentions bottles with special herbs and blessings. The line retails from $3 to $40.
Three new lines recently debuted at Archipelago, LAM 705. Piatti is artist Barbara De Maria's unique line of reverse-glass decoupage paperweights, platters, vases, boxes, and cachepots that retail from $28 to $120. Accent on Design is a handcrafted dinnerware and accessories line from award-winning ceramicist David Levy; pieces feature lobed squares and asymmetrical scallops, and are accented with 22-kt. gold and platinum. Madison Square Spa produces luxurious Egyptian cotton bathrobes, spa, and personal care products, as well as apricot or eucalyptus mint candles; retail prices from $5 to $175.
Prestige Collections, LAM 965, introduces the Pierre Cardin collection of fine collectible gold and silver plated clocks in designs such as a vintage tricycle, locomotive, car, and motorcycle with moveable parts, a gramophone, biplane, and an upright piano. They retail from $35 to $60. Possible Dreams introduces Scared Sillys, a fun collection of beautifully hand-painted hanging or seated kitchen witches with marionette faces and amusing costumes; they retail from $44 to $60. The charming collection of fine arts figurines, such as Renoir dancers, Seurat's Grand Jette strolling couple, and the Mona Lisa retail from $50 to $160. Lenox Treasures' collectible keepsake china boxes with 24-kt. gold have added new dolphin, cat, Santa, and skating snowman designs, with retail prices around $60.
F.E.M. Sales, which has moved to LAM 839, is showcasing the Terrazza line of colorful, durable, dishwasher- and microwave-safe drinkware that comes with a lifetime guarantee against cracking or crazing. Kat's Creations angel pins, necklaces, slides, and earrings come in a wide range of styles, including those for teachers, nurses, and sports moms. They retail from $8 to $22. Annie's Treasures is an attractive home and garden line, retailing from $3 to $30, that includes birdhouses, lanterns, recycled glassware, planters, and a wide range of hand-painted glass. L.A. Girl Makes Good is a cute cookie line that comes wonderfully packaged in paper containers shaped like purses, teapots, teacups, and shoes; retail prices range from $4 to $8.
Hennessy & Company, LAM 570, is now showing the Pablo line of lamps, modular furniture, and home accessories, featuring the understated creations of Venezuelan-born U.S. industrial designer Pablo Pardo. Pablo's newest products are the revolutionary Io task lamp, which telescopes from 20" to 26" and rotates to any desired angle, and the nature-inspired, soft, lightweight, hand-molded polyurethane Cush pillows, which support the body in ways traditional pillows cannot. The Io lamp retails for $275.
