Encore Acquires Figi Business

San Diego —The Encore Group acquired the intellectual rights and properties of Figi, the 35-year-old giftware company that closed its doors in April 2005. The purchase includes all patents, trademarks, copyrights, and customer information, as well as the Michel & Company and J.W. Stannard brands. “The intellectual and creative assets of Figi are an excellent fit with our current brands, as we continue to broaden our product offerings that afford our valued customers the benefits of one-stop shopping,” said Eldridge Hanes, Encore group chairman.
