Chris Collins Appointed 7W New York G.M.

Merchandise Mart Properties (MMPI) named Chris Collins vice president and general manager of the showroom building 7W New York, located at 7 W. 34th St. Collins, most recently s.v.p. of sales and marketing at Figi, also held executive positions at Candle Corp. of America and Russ Berrie. In his new position, he will oversee all 7W New York business. “I am thrilled to announce the addition of Chris Collins to the 7 West team,” said Joan Ulrich, MMPI v.p. of gift leasing and marketing. “Chris' industry expertise, skill set, and strong leadership qualities will build on the exceptional opportunities at 7W New York.” Su Hilty, a member of 7W since fall 2004, becomes director of marketing, reporting to Collins. Bob Tiedeken, formerly eastern sales manager of Enesco Corp., was named director of leasing, joining fellow leasing directors Margaret Powers and Sheila Charton.
