Russ Berrie & Co., Oakland, NJ, net sales for the three months ended June 30, 2005, increased 16.1 percent to $62,019,000, attributable to the company's infant and juvenile segment. Russ gift segment net sales decreased 25 percent to $28,771,000 in the quarter.
Blyth Inc., Greenwich, CT, net sales for the second quarter ended July 31, 2005, increased 1 percent compared to last year, to $292.2 million. The company's North American wholesale home fragrance, home decor, and food service businesses experienced positive sales growth.
