ATA Names New President

Hartford, CT — The board of directors of Aid to Artisans (ATA) appointed David O'Connor president of the international nonprofit organization, which works to help artisans in the developing world. Clare Brett Smith, former president, becomes special advisor to the president. O'Connor, who was executive director of ATA in the early 1980s, served with the Peace Corps and worked with Jordan's Noor Al Hussein Foundation as well as with Save the Children. ATA received G&DA's 2005 Industry Achievement Award in August.
