Los Angeles — Jon Weiglin, director of gift and home for the California Market Center (CMC), announced that the mart will create a new VIP buyer mini-market called Platinum, to take place September 17–19, giving buyers a chance to make last-minute orders. Eligible buyers will receive their invitations next month.
A buyer promotion on opening day will give one winning buyer a $500 shopping spree at Barney’s, lunch for two at celebrity hot spot, the Ivy, and a haircut for two at Jonathan Salon. All buyers will also be treated to a lunch catered by Wolfgang Puck on September 17th, plus complimentary parking validation with purchase and breakfast served from 8:30 a.m.–10:00 am daily. CMC Travel will handle special rates on hotel stays and complimentary shuttle service.
