Market Highlights: The Dallas Market Center begins to mark its 50th Anniversary year. A ribbon-cutting on Thursday morning, January 18, celebrates the opening of the new 500,000 sq. ft. expansion of the Trade Mart. The Accessory Resource Team (ART) honors Aga Home Group's Judy George with its Academy of Achievement Award at the 18th Annual ARTs Awards Gala, this year to be held in Trade Mart's new Grand Pavilion. And HGTV's Candice Olsen of Divine Design is a keynote speaker.

• Table Top Discovery Tour. Thursday, January 18. 10 a.m. Tour begins at the Trade Mart Atrium (by front escalators). With retail expert Rawlins Gilliland. Repeats on Friday, January 19.

• Holiday & Home Expo Cocktail Reception. Thursday, January 18. 6–7:30 p.m. IFGC Lobby. Co-sponsored by AFIA and DMC

• Texas-sized Grand Opening Party & Concert. Thursday, January 18. 6–9 p.m. Grand Pavilion at the Trade Mart. Celebration of Lighting Market's grand opening. Concert by Lantana, an all-female Country & Western band. Enjoy complimentary drinks, food and music.

• Table Top Discovery Tour. Friday, January 20. 10–11:30 a.m. Repeat of Thursday's tour.
