The Store as School
Fresh displays offer lessons for creative retailers

When retailers go to gift shows and seminars, they come back inspired to try new displays and colors or rework the selling floor. After all, it's fun to learn something new. In turn, storeowners can give the gift of inspiration to their customers by educating them on how to display accessories and gifts in their homes.
In my travels, I've found a few stores that do a great job of enlightening customers through strong displays. The accompanying photos feature merchants who have taken a merchandise grouping or one major piece and created interesting displays that redefine how the merchandise is seen. Many of these ideas encourage and influence multiple sales; try some of these ideas and maybe you'll sell three plates instead of one!
(P.S. I only take photos of places I get to visit. Please send photos of any displays you are proud of and I'll happily educate your fellow merchants with your good examples.)
