The worldwide concern about global warming and the environment has heightened our sense of responsibility as a major supplier of disposable retail packaging.

Due to the awareness and concerns about these issues, we have focused our marketing efforts to include “green” packaging in our product mix. The areas that we are able to address include boxes, paper bags and plastic bags.

• The board we use to manufacture all of our folding gift boxes is made of 100 percent post-consumer recycled paper materials. By using only recycled materials, Gift Box Corporation saves, in one day, 279 trees, 115,000 gallons of water and 67,400-kilowatt hours of electricity, and eliminates 986 pounds of pollution from the air we breathe. Our boxes can be recycled as well.
• We offer paper shopping bags with some post-consumer waste content and others with 100 percent post-consumer paper content. In addition, all of our paper bags can be recycled.
• We offer plastic bags that are 100 percent biodegradable, and even those that aren't can still be recycled.

Our strong position in the retail packaging industry has allowed us to partner with our suppliers in developing products that address these important issues.
