Schylling Toys Recalled for Lead

Rowley, MA — Toy vendor Schylling Associates recalled several products made in China due to excessive lead levels. The Robot 2000 toy was sold in specialty gift as well as toy stores from October 2006 through September 2007. About 2,600 units are being recalled. The company is also recalling about 1,300 units of the Dizzy Ducks Music Box, sold at specialty toy stores and gift shops from March through October 2007; and about 3,500 units of The Duck Family Collectable Wind-Up Toy, sold at specialty toy stores and gift shops from January through August 2007, are also being recalled.

In addition to these products, about 3,600 units of a Winnie-the-Pooh Spinning Top were recalled (66,000 spinning tops were recalled on August 22). Only tops with wooden handles are included; tops with plastic handles are not included in this recall. They were sold at specialty toy stores and gift shops from April 2003 through November 2003

No injuries or incidents were reported due to any of the recalled products. Consumers can receive a refund or replacement by calling (800) 767-8697.
