NY Tabletop Market Shifts Market Dates
New York — Following a survey of their tenants, the coalition of New York permanent showroom buildings decided to revise the dates for the 2008 New York Tabletop Markets to follow a Wednesday to Sunday date pattern. The change in timing was a particular concern for the fall market. The decision to change the dates was made to accommodate companies that voiced concern about not having enough time to get samples in for their sales meetings and early retail appointments. The original dates also impinged on religious holidays. The new dates for New York Tabletop Market for 2008 are Wednesday–Sunday, April 9–13 and October 22–26. The coalition of New York permanent showroom buildings is comprised of 7 West 34th St., 230 Fifth Avenue and Forty One Madison.
