To the editor:

I think the downturn is a mix of all of everything named in the poll, plus the impact of this war. I live in San Diego which is a very military town, and even the most staunch Republicans admit it is a disaster. We are all aware of the money being thrown down the tubes and the economic impact of that, plus the debt that it is bringing on us all.

And there are more Hummers on the road, driving us all to gas-sucking glory.

I ramble; just got back home from fire evacuation.
