By Staff -- Gifts & Decorative Accessories, 1/16/2008 2:05:00 PM

New York — On February 12, the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) will hold its 12th Annual Scholarship Awards Breakfast to support the college’s Products Development Program. This year’s honorees include Neil Cole, president, CEO and chairman of Iconix Brand Group Inc., who will receive the Industry Leader of the Year Award; and Arthur Tauber, chairman of Avanti Linens, who will receive the Outstanding Achievement Award. Fred Richman and James Richman, president emeritus and president, respectively, of Richloom Fabrics, will share the Lifetime Achievement Award.

FIT’s Home Products Development program offers studies in both hard (furnishings and accessories) and soft (textile) lines. It was developed with the assistance of members of the home furnishings industry and FIT alumni.

The 12th Annual Scholarship Awards Breakfast will be held February 12, from 7–9 a.m. at Cipriani’s, 110 e. 42nd St. The cost of the event is $250 per person. For further information, contact FIT’s Office of Special Events at (212) 217-4100, or email vicki_guranowski@fitnyc.edu.
