ValueandSaveDirect.com Hires Welfare Recipients

ValueandSaveDirect.com, a localized e-commerce marketing company, partnered with America Works to train and employ welfare mothers as marketing assistants. The New York-based company is a division of ValueandSave of America Inc., which is owned by e-International Business.com Inc. Under the terms of the agreement, ValueandSaveDirect.com will also provide a $250 per month childcare allowance and a $50 per month transportation stipend to employees hired through America Works, a private employment agency specializing in moving people from welfare to work. ValueandSaveDirect.com initially hired ten employees through America Works. The pilot program began in the New York office, but the company plans to launch services in more than 15 cities.
