While the effect a scent can induce is never guaranteed, the following effects that colors can evoke are fairly universal. Think of them when creating your displays.

  • Red: energy, passion

  • Pink: compassion, faithfulness

  • Orange: happiness, success

  • Yellow: enthusiasm, optimism

  • Green: growth, vitality

  • Blue: intuition, trustworthiness

  • Light blue: peace, affection

  • Aqua: motivation, action

  • Turquoise: coolness, creativity

  • Purple: spiritualism, vision

  • Indigo: knowledge, power

  • Magenta: outrage, innovation

  • Lilac: romance, imagination

  • Gold: illumination, wisdom
