The Gardens Bloom in Atlanta

By Staff -- Gifts & Decorative Accessories, 7/29/2008 9:58:00 AM

Atlanta — Living. Outdoor/Indoor. The Gardens will make its debut at the Atlanta International Gift & Home Furnishings Market January 2009 in the new Building Two West Wing. Market attendees got a sneak preview of the new building during July's market at a well-attended party. The new section, originally known as The Gardens, will be housed on two floors totaling 170,000 square feet. The new space will be designed to capture the feeling of the outdoors with themed areas, park spaces, garden cafes, as well as a two-story fiber-optic waterfall. Exhibitors will be found on Floor 9, which will be designed with a Tuscan feel featuring wrought iron railings, carved wood, murals, stone molding, fountains and Italian Cypress. Floor 10 will replicate a Southern Garden District and feature wrought iron balconies, old brick, crown and baseboard molding and white wainscoting. More than 80 percent of the showrooms have been leased. Some of the new inhabitants include Picnic at Ascot, Achla Designs, Vance Kitira, Napa Home & Garden, Woodstock Percussion, Magnet Works, Campo de’ Fiori, Carruth Studio, Mills Floral Co., Ancient Graffiti, Barnstorm and more. Exhibitors will begin their move this October.

“We have created an extraordinary product center that will enable our exhibitors – the world’s leading casual living companies – to showcase their products in a lifestyle environment that aligns with their branding,” said Karen Greaber, vice president leasing for The Gardens. The Atlanta International Gift & Home Furnishings Market will be held January 6–14, 2009.
